### Position Information
## Position Purpose
To work as part of a team offering service to students, faculty, alumni, and staff on behalf of the Registrar's Office. To provide a vital communication link between the Registrar's office and the Dartmouth Community. To ensure that course data is collected and recorded correctly, and that academic information is disseminated in an accurate, professional and timely manner to all constituencies.

## Minimum Experience
Two years or more office experience, preferably in Higher Education.
Proficient in Microsoft Office Products.
## Minimum Education
High School graduate or degree or the equivalent.
Associate's Degree preferred.

Responds to student, faculty, staff, alumni and general inquiries.
Resolves routine records and registration issues.
Enters data and manages Banner processes.
Provides general staff and office support.
Participates in project re-engineering and testing.
Cross-trains with Service Specialists and provides back-up support with Records Specialists.
Specialty Area
Assists students with registration.
Assists with official transcript and citation processing.
Helps students to resolve administrative issues related to academic matters
Greets visitors in a friendly and warm manner.
Responds to, re-directs or processes incoming general phone calls, e-mails, faxes, forms, and mail.
Builds schedule of courses.
Maintains inventory and orders all office supplies.

Don't Be Fooled

The fraudster will send a check to the victim who has accepted a job. The check can be for multiple reasons such as signing bonus, supplies, etc. The victim will be instructed to deposit the check and use the money for any of these reasons and then instructed to send the remaining funds to the fraudster. The check will bounce and the victim is left responsible.
