Job Responsibilities
This position offers an opportunity to learn and contribute to engineering projects in diverse technology areas, including thermosciences, materials, cryogenics, biomedical, controls/sensors, acoustics, combustion, and more. Tasks include assembling and fabricating hardware, test facilities, and prototypes; setting up and conducting experiments; performing data acquisition, analysis; troubleshooting; and more.
Professional Requirements
Requirements include an Engineering Technology degree. Two years' experience is preferred. Skills/prior experience with any/all of the following increase fit to the position: demonstrated and broad experience in traditional fabrication (including manual machining skills using lathes/mills/grinders, welding, prototyping, plumbing, wiring, assembly), engineering fundamentals, scientific instrumentation, 3D design using Inventor, LabVIEW programming. Successful candidate will have excellent lab skills including record-keeping, organization, multi-tasking, and strong written/verbal communication skills. A desire for job challenge and continuous learning is essential.
